Following the PHP security announcement on 21 October 2026, we’re pleased to confirm that the latest security patches have been applied to all Push Button Hosting servers.
Every version of PHP we offer was updated and restarted this afternoon, so all websites are already running the patched versions.
Do I need to do anything?
No. The update was applied automatically at server level and no action is needed on your part. Your websites, emails and settings are unaffected.
A note on older PHP versions
If your website still uses PHP 7.3, 7.4 or 8.0, please be aware that these versions have reached end-of-life and no longer receive regular security updates from the PHP project. For the best security and performance, we strongly recommend switching your site to PHP 8.3 using the PHP version selector in your DirectAdmin control panel.
Before switching, we suggest checking that your theme and plugins are compatible with PHP 8.3, or asking your website developer to do this for you.
